Entry requirements

Essential:

Previous experience driving ATV or associated machinery

What qualification will I gain?

City and Guilds certificate in the safe use of All Terrain Vehicles

How will I be assessed?
Independent practical assessment following completion of the training element.

Course content

You will study:

  • Protective clothes
  • Hill climbing
  • Daily checks/re-fuelling
  • Ascent/descent/traversing
  • Steering
  • Limits of towing trailers
  • Emergency stop
  • Load capacity

Skills gained:
Understanding and practical competency in the use of All Terrain Vehicles.

Additional information

You will be required to supply your own suitable PPE including:

  • steel toe capped boots
  • overalls
  • fitted safety helmet
