Business Intermediate (Level 2)

The NCFE Level 2 Skills for Business course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to succeed in a business environment. It provides students with an understanding of how businesses operate and helps them build the essential workplace skills that employers value, including communication, teamwork, customer service and problem solving. The qualification is suitable for students who are interested in business-related careers and wish to progress to further study or employment.

Students will gain an understanding of business culture, responsibilities and professional working practices.

Entry requirements

Essential:

  • Four GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, including English and/or maths, or a relevant Level 1 qualification.
  • Successful interview and initial assessment.

What qualification will I gain?

NCFE Diploma in Skills for Business (Level 2).

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is mainly through the completion of coursework and a portfolio of evidence. Students will undertake a range of practical assignments, projects, presentations and workplace-related tasks that demonstrate their knowledge and skills.

The qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured by NCFE. There are no formal external examinations.

All full-time Level 1 and Level 2 courses are now FREE for everyone, whatever their age. If you are looking to study a Level 3 qualification, courses might still be free if you’re under 19 or 19-23 and studying your first full Level 3 qualification. If you are aged 19 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. You can also pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
