Overview
Business And Retail Certificate (Level 1)The qualification purpose is to give learners knowledge and understanding and an introduction to the skills required in Business and Retail to support progression to employment to an apprenticeship or to further study at a higher level.
Students will learn the fundamentals of Business and Retail whilst studying GCSE maths and English to support their progression to Level 2. Mandatory units are “Communication Skills for Work”, which is designed to develop learners’ communication skills in a way that will support their effectiveness at work and “Working in Business and Retail”, which ensures that the learner knows the potential job roles, career pathways and skills they need to succeed.

Desirable: Grade 2 or above in English and maths.

Funding Information
All full-time Level 1 and Level 2 courses are now FREE for everyone, whatever their age. If you are looking to study a Level 3 qualification, courses might still be free if you’re under 19 or 19-23 and studying your first full Level 3 qualification.
