Course information

Entry requirements

To start this course you will require: Diploma in Bricklaying Level 1 Entry is subject to a successful interview where you will be asked to complete a skills assessment.

Course content

This course will cover:

  • How to carry out safe working practices in construction
  • Knowledge of information, quantities and communicating with others
Qualification

Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying.

Assessment methods

Your tutor/assessor will provide oral and written feedback continuously throughout the course. Your skills and knowledge are measured against the National Standards as the units are completed.

Further study and career options

You can progress onto Bricklaying Level 3, an NVQ or you can seek employment as a bricklayer.

Additional information

At interview, you will be asked to complete a skills assessment.

Funding Information

The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.

If you are aged 19 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. Alternatively, you can pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
