Bricklayer (ST0095) Level 2 ApprenticeshipThe role of Bricklayer involves laying bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures.
The construction industry is a vital part of the British economy – it employs around 3 million people in the UK! The government plans to build more homes in the future, meaning that this is a growth sector, providing many opportunities.
Course Information
33 months
Bedford – Block release 2 weeks
Wellingborough-Wednesday
Corby Day- Thursday
September and October.
However, can start apprenticeship at any time within workplace.
When offered job role and start date agreed with employer.
As soon as Apprentice starts employment. Arrangements will be made to start apprenticeship and college delivery.
This is a varied career. You will work on new builds, restoration projects, refurbishing housing and a range of commercial and other types of building.
You may work independently, or as part of a larger construction team.

English & Maths
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeship’s English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3. A British Sign Language (BSL) qualification is an alternative to the English qualification for those whose primary language is BSL.
- Learning a variety of skills to enable the apprentice to be able to develop and complete their Apprenticeship and EPA
- 20% off the job training
- College attendance
- Regular 10/12/week Meetings with Training Coordinator and Apprentice to discuss progress and set SMART targets throughout apprenticeships
