Barbering (Level 1)This study programme will focus on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills required in the Barbering industry, and will prepare you for progression into industry. You will learn how to consult with clients, promote products and services, along with developing a variety of barbering techniques to include both cutting men’s hair, cutting facial hair and styling men’s hair.
Gaining this qualification will provide better employment opportunities to work in the industry, both locally or abroad.
We offer a high street salon experience with external clients for assessments building skills and confidence.

- Create an image based on a theme*
*are mandatory units with perming, cutting hair and cutting facial hair as additional units.

- A uniform is required for all practical sessions

Funding Information
All full-time Level 1 and Level 2 courses are now FREE for everyone, whatever their age. If you are looking to study a Level 3 qualification, courses might still be free if you’re under 19 or 19-23 and studying your first full Level 3 qualification.
