Awareness of Mental Health Problems NCFE Level 2 Certificate (Distance Learning)This qualification aims to develop your knowledge and understanding of mental health and the problems that can cause mental ill health. Within each unit you will focus on one particular aspect of mental health exploring the meaning, causes, effects, symptoms and management of each. The course looks in detail at the impact mental health has on a person’s family and friends, giving you a good idea of what it feels like to experience mental ill-health.
All of the Level 2 courses are free. These courses last up to 16 weeks and you can start them at any point throughout the year, and complete them in your own free time.

- Understanding phobias
- Understanding depression
- Understanding post-natal depression
- Understanding bipolar disorder
- Understanding schizophrenia
- Understanding dementia
- Understanding eating disorders
- Understanding attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Understanding obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Understanding Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

- You can go on to study another Level 2 distance learning course or a Level 3 one.
- Alternatively, you could enrol on to our Access to Higher Education course or other further education courses (subject to entry requirements).

Please note that an administration charge of £100 will be charged if learners do not complete the course within the allocated 16 weeks.
