Assistant Accountant (T Level)

The T level Accounting qualification combine classroom theory, practical learning and a substantial industry placement with an employer to ensure you have real experience in the workplace. The course has been shaped by industry experts to meet the needs of employers and businesses to allow you to enter into highly skilled employment, an apprenticeship or higher-level study, including university.

This course is for you if you want to start a career as an assistant accountant or payroll administrator.

All students will develop an understanding of:

  • Providing support to tax and audit functions
  • Preparing computations for payroll

Entry requirements
  • 4 GCSE grades 9-4, OR equivalent
  • GCSE grade 9-4 in maths and English
What qualification will I gain?

Level 3 (T Level) Technical Qualification in Accounting.

How will I be assessed?
  • Two externally marked exams
  • One externally marked employer-set project
Industry placement

Minimum 315-hour industry placement across the 2 years of study.

Career progression:

This qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed to work in the Accounting and Payroll sector and prepares students to enter the sector through employment or as an Apprentice.
