Art and Design (Level 1)

Exterior of the South Bank Centre.

Art and Design (Level 1)

This is a general art and design course where you will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of media and techniques such as drawing, painting, surface pattern, and printmaking. It will develop your creative skills for progression on to a Level 2 qualification and also help build your written skills whilst you study English and/or maths alongside.

You will have the opportunity to work on projects with local Artists and Designers.

The course is made up of 7 units – the first 6 are designed to develop your creative skills through lots of experimentation, and build your understanding before you begin an independent project in for the final unit.

Maths and English, work experience and enrichment activities are run alongside, which are compulsory and make up your full study programme.
