Advanced Social Care (Level 3)

This qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to develop competence as a social care worker in a range of social care support settings.

This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in social care settings. It contains mandatory units which allow the learner to develop the knowledge and skills which are required for the role.

What do you feel are the unique selling points of the course? What are the benefits to the students? The qualification will provide employers with reliable evidence against occupational standard knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) which form the minimum requirements for entry into the occupation. The content of this qualification aligns with the KSBs required for the Lead Adult Care Worker occupational standard.

Entry requirements

Essential: 4 GCSEs Grade 4 or above including English and maths

Desirable: Science

 

The qualification

Level 3 Diploma which is equivalent to 3 A Levels.

 

Assessment methods

Internally assessed and externally quality assured portfolio of evidence.

Industry placement

30 hours of Mandatory work placement – with an additional 40 work experience activities to prepare you for working in the industry.

Funding Information

All full-time Level 1 and Level 2 courses are now FREE for everyone, whatever their age. If you are looking to study a Level 3 qualification, courses might still be free if you’re under 19 or 19-23 and studying your first full Level 3 qualification. If you are aged 19 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. You can also pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
