Access - Creative Industries

This course is designed to build your creative skills and understanding of the design process. It will give you an understanding of how to promote yourself and get in to the creative industry. It is designed for those who are considering a change in direction or wanting to get back in to education.

The benefits of the course is that it is designed to develop skills in a range of creative techniques, alongside an understanding of creating a personal brand. It will enable you to create a portfolio that can be used to apply to university or to apply to the in-house degree level courses that we offer in the Creative Arts.

Essential:

English language or to be prepared to study this alongside.

Desirable:

Maths.

What qualification will I gain?

Level 3 Access to HE in Creative Arts qualification.

How will I be assessed?

Continuous assessments.

Course content

What will I study?

The course covers a range of creative techniques and project building including:

  1. Printmaking
  2. Mixed Media
  3. Branding and Self Promotion
  4. 3D
  5. Critical thinking and Writing for Art and Design Practice

Degree level creative courses at the college or university.
