Research, scholarship and development activities

The Centre for Research and Scholarship will act as the hub for staff and students in supporting different aspects of research, scholarship and development activities.

It will coordinate the research efforts of the Bedford College Group including the University Centre and its partners, as well as nurturing the research culture and the growth of new researchers through different activities, knowledge exchange events and developmental programmes, i. e., seminars, symposium, conferences, workshops, invited guest speakers. Therefore, we need peer reviewers to support colleagues in supporting colleagues producing research outputs. Please feel free to get in touch if you are interested.

The Centre will act as a platform for research, collaborations, partnerships and innovation and foster mentorship, encourage participation between researchers across the BCG and the University Centre, provide new opportunities for professional development and increase the profile and output of active researchers at the BCG. However, the Centre will support research activities through special interest groups (SIGs), including not limited to:

The Centre for Research and Scholarship at the Bedford College Group is a proposed initiative that aims to promote research and scholarly activities across the institution. It will create a vibrant research and scholarship culture that will benefit staff and students across the institution. It will provide opportunities for collaboration, training, and development that will enhance the quality of research and scholarship undertaken within the institution. It will also contribute to the wider research community by disseminating research findings and scholarly work through conferences, publications, and other channels.

The proposed activities and objectives of the Centre are aligned with the strategic goals and priorities of the Bedford College Group and will have a positive impact on the institution and the wider community. By providing funding opportunities, research support, training and development programmes, and dissemination activities, the CoRS will enhance the quality of teaching and learning, generate new knowledge and innovation, and contribute to the development of the local and regional economy and society as a whole.

This page will also be dedicated to collate the research across the group by formatting them in appropriate type of research outputs and upload them so this could be used as access point for the latest research output and news.
