Central Bedfordshire College Campus (Dunstable).

IMPORTANT UPDATE 19TH MARCH 2024

EMERGENCY CLOSURE OF CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COLLEGE’S KINGSWAY, DUNSTABLE CAMPUS.

Due to a technical failure affecting the whole of our Kingsway, Dunstable campus, the campus will remain closed to all students until the end of this week.

Below we have shared how we will maintain lessons and support for all of our students during this campus closure. We are working around the clock to fix the technical failure that has resulted in the need to close the campus and we will be able to update you on progress later this week.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will we attend classes?

All students are expected to continue their learning online and attend classes at the usual times that they would normally attend college.

Lessons will be delivered via Microsoft Teams by your Tutors.

If you cannot access a computer to connect to Microsoft Teams, please contact studentsservicescbc@bedford.ac.uk or digitalexperienceteam@bedford.ac.uk

All students will need to continue to complete their activities, work and assignments set by your Tutors and meet any deadlines set as if you were in College.

Details on how to submit assignments will be confirmed by your Tutor.

Part-time courses

Our maths and English evening classes will be held in Incuba for the remainder of this week.

Incuba is based at 1 Brewers Hill Road, Dunstable, LU6 1AA.

Exams and assessments

All students with scheduled exams or assessments will be contacted by the Exams Team or their Tutor with details on alternative arrangements or to reschedule.

Free school meals

All students who receive free school meals will be sent this directly via bank transfer. If you normally receive free school meals vouchers and do not receive the credit to your bank account, please email studentsservicescbc@bedford.ac.uk

Student health and wellbeing

Student Services remains open to continue to support students and can be accessed through email or phone via studentservicescbc@bedford.ac.uk

Although our campuses are closed, please remember that if you do not feel safe whilst studying at home you should contact our Safeguarding Team by emailing safeguardingcbc@bedford.ac.uk or 01582 349641

Finally, please be assured that we are working as quickly as we can to resolve the technical issues on Kingsway campus so you can return to studying at college with your fellow students in the classrooms and workshops.
