The 16 to 19 tuition fund 2021 to 2022 academic year

Access to University students at Bedford College

Tuition Fund 21-22

Purpose:

Tuition Fund is intended to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).

How will we use this fund?

We will offer small group or/and 1-1 study support sessions to all of our 16-19 and 19-24 students with an EHCP on a study programme who had not achieved a Grade 4 or 5 in either English or maths to catch up with their studies in English, maths and other courses where learning has been disrupted. These sessions will be delivered in addition to students’ study programme timetables.

Small group or/and 1-1 sessions will be delivered predominantly face-to-face with some online delivery to accommodate particular students who are self-isolating or choose that mode of delivery.

English and maths tuition will be provided by specialist Catch Up maths and English tutors starting from September 2021 and finishing in July 2022 on all of our campuses.

Extra small group tuition for vocational and academic subjects will be provided within the departments and externally from September 2021 to July 2022.
