With The Bedford College Group since 2006, Gina Bubbins has clocked up nearly 20 years of experience in the challenging field of bringing employers ever closer to education and training in the South East Midlands Region.

As Director of Partnerships and Commercial, Gina is leading the development of partnerships and commercial work for the Group, working with employers, partners and stakeholders to develop new revenue streams, interpreting local market information and meeting college targets.

Following recent forums such as the Local Skills Improvement Plan sessions with local Chambers of Commerce, Gina will be developing a commercial strategy, leading bidding opportunities for strategically aligned projects for the Group and will support the generation of a new curriculum that meets local skills needs.

Building on success

Gina has a wealth of experience in management and continues to update her skills and knowledge through continued professional development in management, training and assessing.

Since Gina joined the Group, she has been proud to see links with employers develop from what was her role as the sole Business Development lead, to having now built a high-functioning and high-performing team as it is today which achieves targets year on year.

In her new role across The Bedford College Group, Gina plans to build on the success she established for the Business Development team and is looking to continue to develop strong relationships with the local communities and employers.

If you would like to arrange a meeting with Gina to discuss ways the Group can work with your organisation including training, sharing your knowledge and working together to build training programmes please email her at gbubbins@bedford.ac.uk
