Zooming in on new ways to learn

Teacher Ed Bedford

Now you’ve got the hang of Zoom for talking to the family, online ordering for the weekly shopping and Amazon for book orders, you may feel more confident about “distance learning”.

The Bedford College Group at its campuses across Bedfordshire and Northants, is a conduit to a huge range of online learning for fun, for employment, for promotion or job changes.

Many of us will be looking for new jobs post-Covid, or may need to compete against those with more modern qualifications, now, here is your chance to get employer-recognised skills.

Anyone who is 19+ is entitled to FREE distance learning courses covering a wide range of subjects which could help you secure full or part-time employment as the world gets back to a “new normal”.

Fewer hours on campus

In addition to the free distance learning, other courses at the college will have additional online study elements from September. These are still be decided, but what it means is that a “full-time” course at college could now actually be fewer than 21 hours a week in the “classroom”. This flexibility will mean that you can fit your study around your work or family commitments. The “new normal” will make it easier for you to gain vital qualifications.
