Tresham College media student Priscilla Khoza has spent the day with news star Natasha Kaplinsky at the ITN studios in London.
“It was a great experience and a chance to see behind the scenes of a professional TV studio. Natasha gave me advice about working in the industry and I met the production team and watched them in action.”
Priscilla, who lives in Wellingborough, is in her second year of Creative Digital Media Production at Tresham College. The course allows students to experience a variety of roles including camera operator, sound recordist, production and editing.
The college has excellent contacts in the industry and many students undertake valuable work experience with outside organisations, producing professional standard films to enhance their portfolios.
Head of Creative Arts and Media Guy Newton said: “We are currently working with a number of organisations such as Kettering Council to provide creative solutions. It is invaluable experience for our students to work on real projects and meet client deadlines.
