Tresham Football Academy students have had an early Christmas present, having won the East Midlands Regional Football Tournament.
The team of students has now qualified for the Association of Colleges National Finals which will be held in April 2019 and will see the team competing against other regional winners as well as students from other nations to be crowned National Champions.
Head of Sport at Tresham College, Dan Burns said :
This is a fantastic achievement for our Football Academy students and thoroughly deserved. The commitment they have shown to their program, where they follow a structured weekly timetable that combines their studies with their football coaching and development, has resulted in this success. A number of our players are aspiring to move on to scholarships with American universities and this achievement is a great addition to their CV’s.
