Traineeship Students Celebrate Success

Traineeship Students Celebrate Success PR Story

Congratulations to our Traineeship students on completing their 13 week programme.

The Traineeship course is designed to develop employability skills and introduce students to the demands of the world of work.

Traineeships Coordinator, Chris Sutherland, said:

It has been fantastic to watch these young people grow and develop over the 13 weeks of the course.  I am proud of the effort and determination that has been shown, especially from those students who impressed their employers during their successful work placements.

The students completed units in time management, customer service and job seeking skills. Local business professionals also worked with the group on enrichment activities that covered personal confidence, resilience, data security, problem solving in the workplace and money skills.

Work placements are a key part of the course and excellent feedback was received from the employers who provided opportunities. Three of the students have now secured jobs and a further three are discussing apprenticeship opportunities in retail, painting and decorating and teaching.

The next course begins on 29 January 2018, to find out more contact Chris on 07860 779140  or email csutherland@tresham.ac.uk
