To launch the partnership, Newtech will deliver an employer talk to the Group’s engineering students, joined by two of their graduate apprentices who will share their personal career journeys and insights. The session will also include an interactive VR demonstration, giving students the chance to experience the company’s technology first-hand. In addition, Newtech plans to attend careers events with a pop-up VR stand, host visits to its facilities for students, and join the Group’s Industry Advisory Board to help ensure that the engineering curriculum reflects the latest developments in the sector.
Newtech is currently in a period of growth and plans to recruit new apprentices, including mechanical and electrical engineering apprentices and degree apprentices in robotics. The company has already seen great success through its graduate scheme, which recently welcomed two-degree apprentices, a move that has reinforced its belief in nurturing young talent as key to future growth.
