Becoming associate members of the Chartered Institution for Further Education is a prestigious recognition of their hard work and commitment and reflects the Group’s continued investment in developing its people and future leaders.”
For staff taking part, the programme also provided an opportunity to learn from colleagues working across the Group and explore different approaches to leadership.
Ashley Spiers, Group Head of EDI and Belonging said,
“The programme has given me a much broader understanding of leadership and the different styles and approaches people bring to it. It’s encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, reflect on my own leadership style and think about how I can continue to develop as I progress within the organisation.
“Today feels like a real shared achievement. We’ve all been through the experience together, so it’s great to look around and feel proud of what everyone has achieved.”
Emily Jackson, Group Director of Student Participation and Development added,
“As someone who is Bedford born and bred, being able to support the Group, Bedford and the wider region is really important to me. The programme has also brought together colleagues from different roles, backgrounds and locations, giving us the opportunity to learn from each other and see how leadership connects us across the whole Group.”
The ceremony marked both the individual achievements of those completing the programme and The Bedford College Group’s continued investment in developing its staff and leadership for the future.
