The Bedford College Group has welcomed Center Parcs as the latest organisation to join its Employer Partnership Scheme, strengthening its commitment to providing students with valuable industry experience and career opportunities.

Center Parcs has an established relationship with The Bedford College Group, having previously worked with the College to deliver a range of commercial training courses, including Chainsaw Maintenance, Safe Use of Hedge Cutters, Competence in Tractor Driving and Water Regulations.

More recently, the partnership has expanded to support students directly. Earlier this year, Brogan Robson, Talent Acquisition Partner at Center Parcs, visited Bedford College to speak with Travel and Tourism students about careers within the organisation and the wide variety of opportunities available across the leisure and hospitality sector.

Center Parcs has already provided work experience opportunities for students and is keen to continue offering both work experience and T Level industry placements.

Helping students to gain experience and understanding

Through the Employer Partnership Scheme, employers commit to supporting a range of activities throughout the academic year, helping students gain real-world experience and a better understanding of industry expectations and career opportunities.

With colleagues working across hospitality, customer experience, estates and facilities, outdoor activities, administration and business support, Center Parcs is well placed to offer students an insight into a diverse range of careers. The organisation also plans to support future careers events, deliver talks to students, offer site visits, and become involved in The Bedford College Group’s Supported Internship programme. Looking ahead, Center Parcs is also exploring opportunities to expand its apprenticeship offering.

Alan Peters, Deputy Village Director at Center Parcs, said:

“At Center Parcs, creating memorable experiences is at the heart of what we do, and that starts with our people. We’re pleased to be joining The Bedford College Group’s Employer Partnership Scheme and sharing the breadth of careers available across our villages. By working with students through placements, careers events and industry engagement, we hope to inspire future talent and give young people a real insight into the wide range of opportunities available within our business.”

Rachel Roberts, Partnership Manager at The Bedford College Group, added:

“Center Parcs offers students a unique opportunity to explore careers across a wide range of sectors, from hospitality and customer service to estates, facilities, and business support. Their willingness to share industry expertise, provide hands-on experiences and engage with our students will help them make informed decisions about their future careers.”

The partnership reflects The Bedford College Group’s ongoing commitment to working closely with employers to ensure students gain the skills, knowledge and experience needed for successful careers, while supporting local businesses and the wider regional economy.
