Most recently at the 2019 World Education Research Association (WERA) conference recently in Gakushuin University, Tokyo, Kevin Norley, lecturer in adult English and maths, presented a paper.

“The conference provided the opportunity to mix with 1,300+ delegates from over 60 countries and to listen to some thought-provoking keynote speeches from the likes of Andy Hargreaves, Stephen Ball, Ingrid Gogolin and Tan Oon-Seng.

I was proud to be there representing The Bedford College Group and the UK,” said Kevin.

In addition, Kevin presented a paper entitled ‘Mentoring teacher trainees of mathematics for ESL learners in post-compulsory education’ at the Korean Association of Multicultural Education  (KAME) in Seoul, South Korea, in late May 2019.  The paper has been published in the International Journal of Mentoring and Coaching in Education.  One of the keynote speakers at the conference was James A Banks, who is regarded as the ‘father of multicultural education.’
