T Level Celebrations July 4-8

Health and Social Care specialist Laura Evanson is in top level company as a Department for Education Ambassador for T Levels.

Ambassadors are currently an exclusive club with only 105 across the UK, who stay in touch via quarterly online meetings and across LinkedIn. Recently Laura gave a presentation at the DfE about the success of T Levels at The Bedford College Group (TBCG).

T Levels are part of the Government’s vision of the post-16 education landscape alongside A Levels and Apprenticeships. T stands for Technical, and one T Level is equivalent to 3 A Levels. Like A Levels the courses are run over a two year period, but students spend 20% of their time on an “industry placement” with an employer.

The first T Level Celebrations Week will be taking place from July 4-8.

Laura’s experience in children’s service and dementia care in Northamptonshire, means she has a breadth of understanding of what is required by employers. When she joined the Group two years ago as a Work Place Co-ordinator in Health and Social Care she had valuable experience to offer.

She set up a special relationship with Bedford Hospital and a successful T Level partnership.
