Performing Arts Bedford College Students

Bedford College’s Kirsty Newman (pictured), Sam Robinson and Luke Bates are all involved in the Spring Awakening play being staged in September by the Bedford Marianettes.

The long-standing Marianettes have nurtured local talent for decades. Now they offer some modern and challenging productions ideal for young trainees from Bedford College.

  2. Marianettes Amateur Musical Comedy Society was founded in 1960 by Eric and Joan Pates. The society is a charity registered with the Charities Commission (Charity number 296828). The Society is affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association.
  3. Spring Awakening, Book & lyrics by Steven Sater, Music by Duncan Sheik, based on the play by Frank Wedekin. This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International (Europe). All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI Europe
