The college has a rich heritage, but what makes it so special is how it continues to evolve, offering students incredible opportunities through industry partnerships, specialist facilities, and innovative teaching. Looking ahead, developments in technology and sustainability make the future of Shuttleworth incredibly exciting.”

The anniversary also brought together past and present students, offering an opportunity to reflect on the lasting impact Shuttleworth College has had on generations of students.

Andrew Davies, Trustee of the Shuttleworth Trust, and Ex-student of Shuttleworth College said:

“I studied at Shuttleworth College in 1968, and it played a huge role in shaping my career. What I remember most is the camaraderie, we all brought practical farming experience and learned as much from each other as we did in the classroom. The college taught us to think critically, develop strong management skills, and embrace new opportunities, which helped me build successful businesses throughout my career.

Returning for the 80th anniversary fills me with pride. Shuttleworth has always had a strong sense of community and a reputation for hard work, and it’s great to see those values still thriving today.”

Esme Sharpe, Current student at Shuttleworth College, shared:

“I’ve really enjoyed my time studying Livestock Management at Shuttleworth College. The practical learning and facilities have helped me develop my skills and confidence, and the support from staff and fellow students has been brilliant. Being part of the college during its 80th anniversary is something I’m proud of, and it’s inspiring to be part of a place with such a strong history. I’ve made great friends here and would recommend Shuttleworth to anyone thinking about applying.”

As the College looks to the future, it remains committed to delivering high-quality education and training that meets the evolving needs of employers while preserving the values and heritage that have defined Shuttleworth College for the past 80 years.
