Beth Lyons, aged 21, has returned to Kettering a star this season in the show ‘Auntie Brenda’s Christmas Tale’ at Wicksteed Park as Dusty the studious daughter.
Beth studied Musical Theatre at Tresham College from 2012 to 2014 achieving a Triple Distinction star and went on to study Musical Theatre at the Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford, where she is now in her third year.
Her former lecturer Kim Laughton said: “Beth was always a hard worker with a real polish to her performances – there was never any doubt about her going in to the industry. She is what we call a ‘triple threat’; she can sing, dance and act and was a pleasure to teach.”
Said Beth: “I had the best time at Tresham, it really set me up for Drama School as it was so practical with great teaching and support. My dream of going to drama school always seemed a realistic vision too with lots of hard work! My plan is to move to London and work full-time in the West End – my dream role would be to play Fanny Bryce in Funny Girl.”
