The award-winning Prince’s Trust Teams run by The Bedford College Group has been featured on BBC TV as part of the celebrations of the succession of King Charles III.

As the Prince of Wales, Charles established the Prince’s Trust and courses have been run with great success at Tresham College for more than a decade.

Recently, a Prince’s Trust review gave The Group provision an “outstanding”  assessment based on a review of Northampton North, Northampton South, Kettering, Wellingborough & Rushden and Bedford Teams.

Setting a great example

BBC Look East featured long-serving Senior Team Leader Paul Hamblin and one of his early successes who has gone on to inspire those who followed: Ben Gutteridge who left prison and turned his life around with the help of the Prince’s Trust. Ben visits Paul’s Teams to talk about his journey.

Said Cheryl Needham, Head of Adult and Community Learning :

“Paul has been an great example and his work has been recognised by the Prince’s Trust. It was wonderful to see him being recognised on TV for his contribution.”

The Bedford College Group Vice Principal, Nick Hayward, said:

“It is fantastic to witness the Princes Trust Teams, and Paul in particular receiving recognition for their longevity and high quality support towards transforming lives in our local communities.

“Ben is one of many inspiring examples of the great work the teams do across Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, and hopefully what Ben has achieved since completing the programme inspires many more to follow in his footsteps.”
