Nationwide tour for Marcus

A dream role playing Donkey in Shrek in a nationwide touring musical has been won by Bedford actor and singer Marcus Ayton.

Marcus, 28, will be in theatres from December 14th 2017, with, for those who don’t know the story, a giant puppet dragon as his love interest.

“It really is my dream role since seeing it on stage I always wanted this great part,” said Marcus who studied performing arts at Bedford College (2006- 2008) before going on to the University of Central Lancashire (Uclan) and the London School of Musical Theatre.

He has appeared in a great range of shows like Rat Pack and Blues Brothers Live (Edinburgh Festival), Man Friday in Robinson Crusoe and the Genie in panto Aladdin as well as Joseph and his amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
