The Learning Partnership is becoming part of The Bedford College Group. The partnership will help secure the future of adult and community education funding opportunities.
The Learning Partnership of Bedfordshire and Luton Ltd was established in 1999 and has built an excellent reputation as an organisation delivering high quality community-based learning and training, by working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and partners.
The Learning Partnership staff will stay in their industrial estate offices in Sunbeam Road, Kempston.
The Bedford College Group is now the No1 provider in the SEMLEP (South East Midlands) region of post-16 education and training. Tresham College in Northamptonshire and Shuttleworth College in Central Beds are part of the group.
Steve Kendall, Chair of the Learning Partnership said:
“Becoming part of Bedford College’s community arm is a win-win. It gives our staff more opportunities for growth and development as part of a much larger organisation and Bedford College will have the benefit of The Learning Partnership’s expertise and experience in community-based learning. This should allow the range of services to be widened and to enable more local people to benefit.”
Ian Pryce CBE, CEO and Principal of The Bedford College Group added:
“We have a great reputation of making quality education available to as many people in the community as possible. This partnership means we can ensure that any gaps in provision are covered, particularly for those who need help to take them a step closer towards employment opportunities.”
