Alice, 18, from Ringstead, Kettering applied for the chance to work behind the scenes on the show with a one hundred word interview and won a week of work experience at the London studios.

In her second year of Media Production studies at Tresham College, Alice worked with the production team helping to select the play-list for the show, edit recordings and interview TV star Keith Lemon.

“It has always been my ambition to work in radio production and this amazing opportunity has made me even more determined to succeed,” said Alice.

The Kettering campus of Tresham College offers state-of-the-art facilities for media students, including a TV studio and production suite.

Head of Media, Guy Newton said : “Our courses offer the very latest equipment and allow students to gain an insight into film production, sound recording and camera operation all under one roof.

“We encourage our students to seek out work experience and we are currently working with a number of local organisations, creating professional corporate videos and sound recordings.”

Tresham College is part of The Bedford College Group since a merger in August 2017 and is now the No 1 work-related training provider in the region.
