Emma means Business

Business students 2019 Bedford College

Emma Helkenberg who comes from an international background in industry, is setting a fast pace as the new Head of Business at Bedford College.

Formerly with Motorola and General Motors, Emma, who lives in Buckden, Cambs, is looking forward to a range of new courses being made available which will usher people from the classroom into careers.

Emma means Business PR Story

Courses in business, customer service, management & leadership and personnel/HR together with professional training in project management, will give people the transferable skills required in today’s ever-changing commercial world.

Taking the training towards degree-level learning via HNC and HND courses as well as be-spoke courses for companies requiring special skills from staff, means Bedford College is meeting the needs of the businesses in the region.

To keep the two-way traffic working between the business world and college, Emma is planning a series of talks by entrepreneurs showing how training can add value to companies.

And special projects are being set up with some of the big new investors in the region like Riverside Bedford and Rushden Lakes.
