Apprentices and T Level students from across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire were celebrated for their outstanding achievements.
The Bedford College Group Apprenticeship and Business Awards 2026 were held during National Apprenticeship Week.
The ceremony brought together apprentices, T Level students and employers from both counties, highlighting the dedication, resilience and ambition of learners developing vital skills through apprenticeships, technical education and work-based learning routes.
Showcasing the positive impact of strong collaboration
Winners from Northamptonshire reflected on the high-quality provision delivered at Northamptonshire-based colleges within The Bedford College Group, including Tresham College, alongside apprentices training with local employers.
Bedfordshire winners represented the breadth and quality of education delivered across the Group’s Bedfordshire colleges, including Bedford College, Central Bedfordshire College and Shuttleworth College.
Their success demonstrated the strength of apprenticeship and T Level provision across both counties and showcased the positive impact of strong collaboration between the Group, its students and regional businesses.
Yiannis Koursis OBE, CEO of The Bedford College Group, said:
“The Bedford College Group Apprenticeship and Business Awards are a celebration of the exceptional talent, commitment and ambition demonstrated by our Bedfordshire students. While the awards recognise achievement across the wider region, we are incredibly proud of the apprentices and T Level students studying at our Bedfordshire colleges, across the Group and through our work-based programmes.
Held during National Apprenticeship Week, the event highlights the vital role that apprenticeships play in supporting local industries, strengthening the economy and creating real opportunities for students to thrive. Our Bedfordshire winners are a credit to themselves, their employers and the colleges that support them.”
The event also recognised the vital role employers played in mentoring and training learners, ensuring education remained closely aligned with industry needs and supporting economic growth across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.
