Open Days are your chance to look around the college, speak to our staff and students and find out what we can offer you.
They’re jam packed and great fun, so follow our top tips to make the most of every minute you’re here!
Do a bit of homework… We don’t mean writing an essay, but visit our website a few days before you visit will help you shortlist your favourite subjects and speak to the right people on the night. You can download a copy straight from our website.
Get the right campus… We have a number of different campuses, so check our website beforehand to make sure you visit the right one for the subject you’re interested in! That way you can see exactly where you will be studying and all our great facilities first hand.
Speak to your future tutors… Make the most of your time with the subject tutors by having a think about the questions you want to ask: what modules you will be studying; what assessment methods will be used; how much study time there will be per week?
Go on a tour… We will be running tours of the main facilities including the Learning Resources Centre, refectory, student common room and more. If you want to see the facilities more specific to your subject, just ask the staff on the subject desks.
Make time to take everything in… The College is a big place with lots of great stuff going on, so make time to take it all in as you walk around and move between the different subject areas. You might even spot our Music students performing their latest work!
Visit our Student Services team… Whether you need some advice on careers, transport, finance, or wellbeing, go along and speak to our friendly Student Advisers.
Why not grab a bite to eat before or after… There’s no better way to discover the local area and find out where the College’s closest amenities are or try out restaurants and coffee shops on-site!
Apply on the night… If you’ve made up your mind, you can apply for your course while you’re with us. Our online experts will be on hand to help and it will be one less thing to do when you get home!
You’re welcome more than once… Our open days are held throughout the year – in Autumn, Winter and Spring– so if you forget something or just want another look – feel free to visit again. We’d love to have you.
