Entry requirements

You will need to be employed as a wall and floor tiler to be able to gain evidence for the qualification.

Course content

You will study a range of units during the course including:

  • Preparing Backgrounds to Receive Wall and/or Floor Tiling in the Workplace
  • Tiling Wall and Floor Structures in the Workplace
  • Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
  • Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
  • Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace
Assessment methods

A competence based assessment by portfolio of evidence, observation.

Further study and career options

On Completion, this qualification will allow you to gain an appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card, which confirms you have the correct training and qualifications for the type of work you carry out.

Funding Information

The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.

If you are aged 19 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. Alternatively, you can pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
