Supporting Teaching and Learning NCFE CACHE Level 3 DiplomaTo provide learners with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school and college environments. It covers all aspects of specialist support including planning, delivering, and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning alongside the teacher; bilingual support; special needs support; and personal development and reflective practice.

Course information
You must be at least 16 years old and be employed in a school. Experience of working in a school for twelve months.
During the course you will undertake 16 Mandatory Units:
- Schools and Colleges as Organisations
- Support Health and Safety in a learning environment
- Understand how to Safeguard Children and Young People
- Develop professional relationships with children, young people and adults
- Understand how Children & Young People Develop
- Support positive behaviour in children and young people
- Support children and young people during learning activities
- Support English and maths skills
- Support the use of ICT in the learning environment
- Support assessment for learning
- Engage in personal and professional development
- Support children and young people’s speech, language and communication
- Understand how to support learning of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities
- Support children and young people during transitions
- Support the role of play, leisure and extra-curricular activities for children and young people
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma – Supporting Teaching and Learning.
All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods. You will have to access an e-portfolio, complete written assignments, activities, and undertake online learning. An assessor will also visit you in the placement to carry out observations.
Course progression: Learners achieving the Level 3 Diploma can progress onto the Level 4 Certificate for the Advanced Practitioner in Schools and Colleges, foundation degree, or specialist roles within the workforce.
This qualification has UCAS points as follows: Pass – 32
Career progression: Preparation or continual professional development for employment within a school or college environment.

Funding Information
The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.
Part-time Fee Flow ChartIf you are aged 19 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. Alternatively, you can pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
