Principles of Management & Leadership CMI Level 3 Award (Blended Learning)

The Level 3 Award in Principles of Management and Leadership is developed for practicing or aspiring managers who will supervise or manage a team to achieve clearly defined outcomes and who have day-to-day operational activities as a key part of their roles. This qualification gives managers the communication and motivational skills to help improve operational efficiency.

Course information

Entry requirements
  • A Level 2 Business-related qualification

OR

  • The ability to demonstrate Level 2 business knowledge through work experience
  • Level 2 English

You will also need to be IT Literate and able to use word processing and presentation software.

Course content

For the Award you will study one of the following units depending on your start date:

  • Principles of Operational Leadership and Management in an Organisational Context
  • Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success
  • Managing Stakeholder Relationships
  • Managing Projects to Achieve Results
  • Managing Change
  • Creating and Delivering Operational Plans
  • Managing Finance
Assessment methods

You will be assessed on each unit through any of the following: written account or assignment, report, guide or factsheet, work based evidence and reflective accounts/statements.

Further study and career options

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners are able to progress to further learning within the suite to the Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Management and Leadership.

Funding Information

The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.
