Entry requirements

4 GCSEs grades 9-4 including English and Maths OR similar at Level 2 including English and Maths.

T Level courses are for 16-19 year olds who have completed their GCSEs.

Course content

The core component contains:

  • Fundamental Health & Safety practices associated with carrying out construction work
  • Scientific principles related to construction activities
  • The construction industry and careers within it
  • Principles of sustainability and design, relevant to construction projects
  • Information, data and principles of measurements
  • Tools, equipment and materials used in construction work
  • Legislation, regulations and approved standards that apply to the construction industry

Painting & Decorating Components: 

  • Decorate a room with fire place including, walls, ceiling, wood, radiator
  • Design ‘vert de mer’ marble finish for the fireplace back panel
Assessment methods

Externally assessed exams and externally assessed project and practical assessments.

This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the On-Site construction industry, which will prepare you to enter the industry through employment or as an Apprentice.
