Overview
Next Steps (Pathways)This course designed for learners who have completed their full-time courses at college and need support to plan their next steps and transition into adult life. This programme helps students with SEND develop skills for life and work. If learners need support to access college they need to provide their own PA to attend classes and support them throughout their college day.
Course information
Course details
The learners be taught by a Pathways Tutor and will explore options that are available to them in the future. We will work closely with local authorities to see what is available locally by accessing the local offer and visiting local day and volunteering opportunities.
Classes run on Fridays from 9 until 4 pm with an hour for lunch.
Next steps
What options are there after completing this course?
We will work closely with the learners and their circle of support, to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to progress onto another part time course within the college or access other agencies. Learners may choose to use their newly learnt skills at home, in a job or to take part in activities within the local community.
Additional information
Coming to College is a full time commitment and you will need to ensure that you have factored in the cost of travelling to College and potentially to a local work placement.
