Installing Electrotechnical Systems & Equipment (5357-93) City & Guilds Level 3 DiplomaThis Electrotechnical qualification meets the needs of learners who want to work as an electrician, installing systems and equipment, in buildings, structures and the environment within the Electrotechnical industry. The qualification allows the candidate to develop the knowledge, skills and competency required for an Installation and Maintenance Electrician in the Electrotechnical sector.
The whole qualification can be assessed on-site so no work time is lost by attending College. You will achieve a qualification to show to potential customers, so you will work more and earn more. You will also gain the vital skills needed to obtain a qualified workers Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) and JIB card quickly and easily.

Course information
This course is suitable if you are an experienced electrician and would like to gain an up to date recognised qualification or if you are progressing from an electrotechnical level 3 qualification to achieve a qualified status.
You will cover units including:
- Apply Health, Safety and Environmental Considerations
- Organise and Oversee the Electrical Work Environment
- Terminate and Connect Conductors
- Inspect, Test and Commission Electrical Systems
- Apply Fault Diagnosis and Rectification
- Apply Design and Installation Practices and Procedures
This course is delivered in the workplace and will last a minimum of one year. Course dates are flexible.

Funding Information
The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.
Part-time Fee Flow ChartIf you are aged 19 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. Alternatively, you can pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
