Overview
Food Science (T Level)This T Level course comprises of three key elements- core knowledge delivery, work placed training and an employer-led project.
You will learn as part of your course key scientific concepts, practices, methodology, collection of scientific data, experimental techniques and scientific ethics. The second aspect of the course will be a work placement where you will gain on the job technical skills relevant to your course. As part of the course you will be set a work-based project which will allow you to apply the knowledge and skills you have gained.

Entry requirements
- 4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 or equivalent, ideally including English, maths and Science
- A willingness to undertake work experience
What qualification will I gain?
NCFE Level 3 T Level –Science.
How will I be assessed?
The course will involve both written coursework, employer-set projects and examinations.

- The science sector
- Health, safety and environmental regulations in the health and science sector
- Application of safety, health and environmental practices in the workplace
- Managing information and data within the health and science sector
- Data handling and processing
- Ethics
- Good scientific and clinical practice

- Experimental equipment and techniques
