Floristry Essentials Workshop: An Introduction

This short course, suitable for the complete beginner, will introduce you to the techniques needed to condition floral materials, before moving on to creating arrangements, hand tied bouquets and small wired designs. This course is designed to provide you with a fun introduction to basic floristry techniques, and will give you an opportunity to create a variety of floral designs for beginners. You will focus on the use of materials, colours and textures to create interesting and beautiful floral design.

Entry requirements

No previous experience or qualifications are needed to take part in this course.

How will I be assessed?

There will be no formal assessments on this course.

What will I study?

During the course you will be able to practise basic techniques using a range of different media. The workshop will focus on modern arrangements, simple hand tied designs and accessories.

The course is designed to be flexible to meet the interests of the group.

Additional information

All flowers needed for this course are included in the course fee. It is recommended you provide your own apron.

Funding Information

Pay by instalments

The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.
