Eyelash Perming City & Guilds Level 2 AwardThis is an industry recognised City & Guilds level 2 qualification in providing eyelash Perming (lash lifting). This course covers the perming/lifting process and will include health & safety in the salon.
This is an industry recognised insurable course that could lead to employment in the beauty industry. The course will teach you how to complete a full consultation, an eyelash perming treatment, aftercare advice and health and safety.

Need to know
Essential:
Evidence of working at GCSE grade D (3) and above Good people skills that enhance working with clients. You are either required to complete the City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Health and Safety for the Hair and Beauty Sector or already hold this City and Guilds qualification (proof will be required).
Other requirements…
Good standard of the English language to allow for study and competence.

Course content
What will I study?
- Anatomy & Physiology of the hair
- Preparation of client including consultation methods & sensitivity testing
- Health & safety requirements for eyelash and eyebrow treatments
- Contra Indications to treatment
- How to perform an eyelash perm
- After-care requirements • Health and Safety in the salon (if not currently held)
How will I be assessed?
Theory is assessed through City and Guilds assignments. Practical based assessments on clients/models. Case study photographic evidence.

Course progression:
This course can lead to self-employment within the Beauty Therapy industry offering an eyelash perming service or enhance current skills as a therapist.
You can progress onto further qualifications within Beauty Therapy.
Additional information
You will be required to purchase a mandatory lash perming kit, available through the college Salon Dress code – A plain black tunic is required (can be purchased through the college) – Smart black leggings or trousers – Enclosed low heeled black shoes (no trainers or pumps) Home Study – The course will require self-study at home through our VLE Moodle. You will be completing assignments and there will be an element of practical client case studies required documented through photographic evidence. NB: you will be required to provide models for your practical assessments
