Overview
Comptia Linux +Our industry experienced teaching staff will provide you with a comprehensive instructor led, classroom-based delivery. Each session will comprise of theory and practical delivery and activities.
This course will focus on all essential areas of Linux for IT Professionals. You will learn how to execute different tasks on a wide array of distros, culminating in an end of course multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank exam.
Course information
Essential:
- CompTIA A+ or Cisco IT Essentials
- 4 months of Linux administrative experience
Desirable:
- NDG Linux Essentials
- CompTIA A+ or Cisco IT Essentials
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA1
- 12 months of Linux admin experience
- Configuring kernel modules, network parameters, storage, cloud and virtualisation technologies
- Manage software and services,
- Explain server roles and job scheduling
- The use and operation of Linux devices
- Cybersecurity
- Best practice for permissions and authentication, firewalls, and file management.
- Analyse system properties and processes
- Troubleshoot user, application and hardware issues
- Execute basic BASH scripts, version control using Git, and the orchestration processes
You will gain:
- Bedford College Certificate of Completion
- Optional: CompTIA Linux + Qualification
This course will be assessed by:
- Weekly multi choice end of chapter tests.
- Optional CompTIA Linux+ XK0-005 Exam: multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank exam

Funding Information
Pay by instalments
The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.
